I tried their lucky charms latte and it was really nice to enjoy with a pastry outside with a gentle breeze by their swing chairs in the nice weather.

One of the best coffee shops in Hampton Roads. Down from the staff, cleanliness and the drink quality and taste is unmatched. Staff is always so helpful and kind (shoutout to Riley) and the coffee itself is so wonderful tasting. Love Fr8 House forever <3

Come welcome FR8 to the Railyard District!!! 1st visit & definitely not my last! The vibe in FR8 is perfect...warm greeting, good eats available (sweet & savory), friendly Baristas serving one of the smoothest Vanilla + Lavender Lattes around! Also, the great tunes are at the right volume to enjoy & still conversate!! 🤣😂 I love me some music! I had their Pumpkin Cheese Danish and it was flaky goodness & full of flavor! I can't wait to try something savory on my next visit! The place has abundant seating and seating options from outside swings (🤣) to bar top, 6, 3, & 2-top rounds, sofas, & cozy chairs! It can definitely handle group coffee breaks! 🙌🏾 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😋 and hopefully FR8 will consider later evening hours 🤞🏾🫶🏾

Such a great first visit at Freight House Coffee. The environment is warm, clean, and intentional. The barista made me a completely fresh cup when I asked to rewarm my coffee, which honestly blew me away. The owner even stopped me to thank me for coming in—such a personal touch that really stood out. Their branding is clean and consistent, and the whole experience felt authentic and local. Highly recommend. I will be returning!

Oh oh I might have found my new love - coffee and more place that is! (Don't worry my Matt you're my forever). All I can say is from the very unique facade and its own alcove with grassy space for your furry friends and a view of tree lines, the tone is already set for some decompressing time! Then when you enter, you are immediately greeted by the owner Chelsea! Behind the counter, Chelsea was patient to recommend the iced Caramel latte just because I did confess it is my first time here and can't decide. Very accommodating to get that extra pump of caramel, which made it perfect for my liking. Looking at the menu they have burritos, sandwiches and avocado toast. Baked treats are on display : scones, bear claws. They have cocktails, non-alcoholic refreshing drinks; and of course coffee concoctions. The ambiance is perfect, it is very telling by the patrons who are here playing word games, kids doing arts and crafts things, someone who brought their fur baby while enjoying some cocktail... a respite for everyone at work or at play. Very modern chic place with exposed brick and air ducts akin to NYC studios but tastefully laid out for maximum space and lighting. 5 stars! Food: a 5 star rating for sure. I ordered the Norfolk southern sandwich. It was a bagel sandwich with bacon, egg, avocado, cheese and that SAUCE served to the side - like a spicy pesto sauce but on steroids - absolutely a unique and unique addition to enjoying the sandwich. Highly recommend this place, it's more than a coffee shop!

This might be one of my go to spots as a local and coffee shop lover. It can be a bit pricey but hey, what coffee shop isn’t these days? You definitely get a really good experience for this price point I might add. I ordered the breakfast burrito and pumpkin spice crumb cake and was not disappointed, they add two different sauces for the breakfast burrito and offer to warm up the pastries. As someone who has experienced amazing food from the west coast this is definitely up there. Will definitely be coming back! Additionally they do offer a 15% off discount for first responders.

Such a great atmosphere with delicious drinks! The barista Sophia is very kind and was very intentional to make my drink the way I liked. When I expressed that I do not prefer an overly sweet drink, she helped customize my drink beyond the usual 1/2 sweet. I had a wonderful experience at Fr8 and will definitely be returning!

The staff were incredibly friendly! I had an excellent scone and they have these cool "cruffins" as well. The coffee was great too. I didn't get to try their food. Really nice variety of comfortable seating options too. 10/10 they are crushing what you expect from a coffee shop.

The Boxcar sandwich slaps! Holy! That’s a freaking 10/10! The texture (the crunch) and taste is super yummy!!!! I ordered a dark roast coffee with a bit of cream and it was good too! Immersive and relaxing cafe with very welcoming and knowledgeable baristas! A wonderful experience!

Really pretty spot! Lots of natural light and a spacious interior. Friendly staff and delicious drinks as well. I had the golden latte iced - incredibly refreshing on an early summer afternoon! We will be back! :)
